This was really cute. The blog title is in reference to a song that they sing during Darian's (Divas Dudes and Doodlebugs) music class. The lyrics are actually, 'Hop old squirrel...', but Darian doesn't have a little stuffed squirrel, so he substituted his little chicken instead. During part of the song, the kids (and us parents), make our squirrels hop to the beat. Then when the squirrels get tired from all that hopping, Miss Michelle plays a lullaby and the kids rock their squirrels to sleep. Well, when Michelle plays she puts her squirrel right where Darian put his little chicken. It was one of those 'kind of had to be there' things, but trust me, it was really cute. :)
