More still...

More pics from the pumpkin patch...

20 weeks old and Pumpkin Patchin it!

Our little Deedlesaurus (new nickname...i know, but he's been making some cute little teradactyl sounds lately...so it's fitting) is doing soooo well!  He turned 20 weeks old (5 months for the math challenged :) yesterday!!  He's still fighting a bit of a cold, but pretty happy none the less.  He also went 2 days without a poo poo, which was a bit concerning, but he's all clear now!  We had a fabulous weekend.  Spent Saturday as a family at home, doing some chores and just spending time together. Sunday we took Darian to Russell Farms in Noblesville, for his first ever pumpkin patch experience!  We met Adam, Casey and Fiona Garvey, as well as Ira, Joan and Olivia Goldfarb there at 10:30am.  It was a tad chilly, but not too bad.  There was much to do for the older kids, race tracks with tractors you could peddle, different petting zoo areas with goats and bunnies, playground equipment, corn mazes, and all sorts of other games and activities.  It was a lot of fun!  We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch (mud pit scattered with pumpkins) and Darian helped mommy and me pick out the perfect pumpkin which we plan on carving tonight!  We had some hot cider, picked out a couple other small gords for Dee, and headed on our way so we could pick up our favorite food (BW's) and make it back to our house for the Colts kick-off!  The Garvey's and Ira came back to our abode to watch some good football!  We tried cereal again this week, although we mixed in a little mashed up banana this time.  He seemed to like it better, but still hasn't quite got the whole eating off of a spoon figured out yet!   It's messy, but absolutely adorable!  He slept well last night, but it was really the only night he has for a little while.  He has been tossing and turning and generally restless, unless he's in mommy's lap.  He naps well during the day, it's just at night (when mom and dad are trying to get some sleep) that he fights the sleepy time!  I think he just wants to spend as much time with us as possible, and doesn't want to let sleep get in the way! :)  More later...loyal followers...

More party pics...

Thursday Pain and Fun!

Yesterday mornning we took Darian to get his 4-month shots.  We went to the Hamilton County Health Department and had to wait for a while, but not near as bad as last time.  He did really well!  The first dose was an oral...and he drank it up like a big boy!  Then he had a big bad needle shot in each leg! :(  He didn't even cry during his first shot, but he did during the second.  He was finished crying by the time we left the nurses office though.  He's such a tough lil guy!  He slept well after his shots, and got all rested up for his first Halloween party at his friend Ethan Burk's house.  He went as a Hot Dog, and as you can see, he looked adorable!  The hotdog costume was quite hot, so we didn't keep him in it very long, but he was still dressed for the occasion in his black "Boo" onsie!  He was the youngest child at the party, but there was a cute little 6 1/2 month ladybug that he had his eye on all night!  Sheri and Jenny Burk held Dee a bunch, and Jason almost put him to sleep with his patented "Daddy dance"!  We had some yummy pizza and beer, and the kids decorated cupcakes!  A good time was had by all!

A few more...:)

Dee-Liscious!

Chicago Girton's visit...

More Deedlebug pics...

The adventures of Deedlebug!

Not too much happening since we last spoke.  We've mostly been trying to take care of Darian and trying to make him feel better...poor guy has been sick.  Stuffy, runny nose, bit of a cough.  Today he seems a bit better, but still not 100%!  We have had some visitor's as usual.  Auntie Morgan came over last week to cut mommys hair and to visit for little while.  My uncle Randy, Aunt Angie, and cousin Stephanie came over too on their way to visit GG Girton's in Winchester.  Angie had not yet met Darian and was really excited to see and hold him.  We had Dee's 4 month doctor's appointment on Friday, and he's doing well.  He is quite small still...12lbs15oz., but he was 25" tall!  He was only in the tenth percentile for weight, but jumped up to the 50% for length and head circumference.  Besides his cold, he is healthy and happy!  Dr. Banter thought he was really strong, and was impressed with his neck and leg strength.  He has really been watching us eat the last several weeks, showing great interest in food, so we decided to try rice cereal mixed with breastmilk for the first time on Friday evening.  It wasn't a complete success, but it sure was cute!  He was eager to try the first couple bites, not really sure if he swallowed any or simply swished it around in his mouth before spitting it all over himself.  After that he started to get upset so we quit for the night.  Tried again on Saturday with similar results.  We decided to wait about a week before trying again, so we'll give it another go this weekend!  Mommy came up with yet another nickname for Darian...Deedlebug, which i think is really cute!  He likes the Deedlebug songs we make up.  He is such a wonderful little boy, and growing so fast!  See you soon loyal blog followers!

A few more pics...

Darian's second wedding already!

We had a really good weekend! Friday night we ran some errands and went to Babies R' Us to return an outfit, and try to find something dressy for Darian to wear to Benji Loney's wedding on Saturday. We didn't really find anything there, but one of the employees told us they had ties for babies at the Children's Place so we headed there. We found an adorable tie, corduroy pants, and hat!! After shopping we went to Noddles & Company to grab dinner. Dee was a wonderful boy and slept straight through dinner, which was quite surprising to us since we were sitting behind a table full of extremely loud teenage girls. It seems that Hamilton Town Center is quite the teen hangout on the weekend. We had a nice dinner though, and the manager gave Rikki a free rice crispy treat! Saturday was a busy but fun day. We woke pretty early and I decided to run to the store to get us a few items. I decided on my way to the store to get my oil changed, and since I didn't bring a book I lucked out when Mike Dennis called. He stopped at Starbucks, grabbed us a couple coffees, and hung out with me for a while as I waited. He came back to our house to see Rik and Dee too. Saturday we got all dulled up and headed to Benji and Megan's wedding in Carmel. It was at the Renaissance Hotel, which was very nice. Contemporary lounge area with a nice bar. It was very nice having the wedding and reception in the same location. As you can see, Darian looked extremely handsome. He was pretty good most of the time, and was fed by both Uncle Marc and Mike! He liked dancing with his mommy, but eventually got tired and a little fussy. We had a wonderful time. Sunday we relaxed most of the day, watched football, and worked in the yard. Loved watching our Colts kick some Titan butt! Blog ya later gators...

Love,
Zach, Rikki and Darian Lee
