Springing forward...

As always, we've been 3 busy bees since we last spoke. Darian is blossoming like the tulips in our yard (hopefully soon), and continues to bring a smile to our face every single day! His newest milestones are his 4 new teeth on top...for a grand total of 7 now!! He's also getting pretty close to crawling, and can army crawl all over the place, especially on the slick kitchen floor! We're thinking about sticking one of those swiffer sheets to his belly! He went to the doctor last Friday for his 9-month appointment and weighed 17lbs 6 oz, and was 27" tall!! He's pretty small still (6% in weight and 11% in height), but remains in the top 110% in cuteness! :) He does have a cold right now, with a cough...bummer. Hoping he gets over it really soon! We've had several visitors over the last several weeks, as you'll soon see in subsequent blogs, and have enjoyed the warmer temps! We went to the Hamilton Towne Center outdoor shopping and to Holland Park on a couple of occasions. It was so nice to get out of the house after being cooped up all winter! Rikki and I have both been working a bunch with our jobs, and as parents. Darian continues to nurse, and is eating his baby food like a horse! We've had to increase his serving sizes to accommodate his growing appetite! We continue to make all his own food from fresh produce...cause we ROCK, and enjoy doing so. Plus, it's actually more affordable! He has had store bought Yo Baby yogurt though, which he really enjoys. And you should see his little face light up when we shake the canister of Graduate Puffs! He loves those! He is really good when we go out to eat, and sits and plays really well in high chairs. We've had a couple waitresses make the mistake of setting food down too close to him though...but luckily we were quick enough to move it before things could get ugly (messy)!! We can't wait for spring to truly get here...it's going to be a wonderfully busy spring/summer for the Girton household!
