Final Holloween Blog and Fall Fun!!

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend!  Friday night I finished carving our family pumpkin!  Both my cheap saws, from my obviously generic pumpkin carving kit broke on me, but I got it finished!  Nanna Mel came and stayed with us Friday night, and babysat so we could go out to dinner and bowling with Benji and his new wife Megan, as well as Luc and Kim (a friend of his)!  We had a nice dinner and drinks at Chili's, then headed to Pinheads to attempt to bowl!  Neither Rikki or I broke 100!  I rolled my ankle pretty good playing basketball last week, so I was a bit handicapped!  Saturday morning Rikki had to work, then we went to an afternoon Halloween party in Noblesville that one of her coworkers (Mike) was hosting!  Dee dressed as a hotdog first, then changed into his monkey costume!  We all had a great time and it was a beautiful day!  We stayed home Saturday evening, cleaned up some leaves in the front yard, and passed out candy to the kids in the neighborhood!  We had a few more than the last couple years, but not too many really...so all the kids received a nice large handful!  Darian had his first opportunity to play in some leaves, and really seemed to have fun!  Couldn't keep him out too long as it started to get pretty cool!  Sunday we just had a nice day at home as a family.  Watched our Colts pull out a way too close for comfort victory, and worked on projects and household chores!  Darian seems to be doing better with his cold this week, and is really happy!  He is in love with his mommy!  His face lights up and a gigantic smile overtakes him when she gets home from work!!  He's laughing a lot now, and really loves to play with his toys.  We've been feeding him rice cereal with a mushed up banana and breastmilk.  He's not eating great from a spoon, but he's doing a lot better.  Few more weeks and he'll have it down pat!  He's been sleeping pretty well too.  Still in his bassinet in our room, but he has slept through the night a couple times in the last week.  Otherwise he wakes up just once to eat, then goes right back to sleep!  He just keeps getting cuter and cuter...with more and more personality everyday!!  It's true love i tell you...
