Last Saturday we had an awesome day filled with practically nothing but Pumpkin Fun! Dee painted his little pumpkin and gourds, helped daddy carve the big pumpkin, helped separate the pumpkin seeds so mommy could bake them, and even helped make pumpkin pies from our little pie pumpkin!
Dee has his painting smock on, he's ready to go!!
He's a messy painter, but he sure has a lot of fun!
Demonstrating the proper technique to his momma!
Rinsing the brush between colors is key!
That is face of pure artistic intensity and focus!
All done!!
Snack break with mommy after all that hard work!
Getting ready to dig in!
He was pretty hesitant at first!! You can sort of see the look of disgust on his face! haha!
Now he's getting in there!! He ended up putting more seeds back in, than he took out, as I was trying to get the pumpkin cleaned out!
I decided to bust out the Dremel this year! It worked out pretty great!
My little buddy!
Letting Dee have a go with the Dremel.
We asked him what he wanted to carve in the pumpkin this year, and of course he said a guitar! So that was our theme! I think it turned out pretty decent!
Admiring our handiwork!
Pretty cool!!
Ending our pumpkin day of fun with a tune!
This last picture is hilarious, because Darian heard a spooky sound, I think from Conner Prairie, and he was SCARED! He was in the process of jumping up and running to grab my legs! What a wonderful Saturday we had!
