This was one of the highlights of our summer! We took a 4-day weekend and headed down to southern Indiana, Santa Claus, IN to be precise, for a long weekend of fun at Holiday World and Splashin Safari. We took our camper and camped right next door at Lake Rudolph Family Campground, which is a super nice and fun campground. Jason, Sheri, and Ethan Burk joined us for this outing, and they decided to tent camp a few sites away...though they all ended up sleeping in our camper with us on the last night. It was an extremely HOT weekend, with the heat index above 100. The campground kiddie pool felt like a hot tub, literally, with a temp of at least 96+ degrees. Not too refreshing really. The water at Splashin Safari was a bit cooler, and that is where we spent the majority of our time at the park. It was a super nice and clean amusement park, with free beverages all day long! Despite the extreme heat we had an absolutely amazing time, as you are going to soon see! We are definitely going to try to make this an annual excursion!
I was filming a short documentary, starring Jason, about how to "NOT" put up a tent. He did great!
