On the Saturday before Christmas (Dec 18th) we had, technically, our first family Christmas in the bubbling metropolis of Saratoga! Grandpa Mike held host, and we were so happy to have Grandma Doris feeling well enough to attend. Before everyone arrived for the festivities we took Darian and Kolin over to the old fire station to see Santa Claus for the first time. The first time this year anyway, and I'm almost positive he doesn't remember sitting on his lap last year! No lap sitting with Santa this year however. Though he didn't care for the white bearded stranger this year...at least he didn't cry, throw a fit, and act a fool. He even got close enough for a few photos...though he was a bit nervous...and quite cautious! :)
Ahhh...they made eye contact! I was telling him not to be afraid...
Probably looking for mommy to come save him!
I'm trying to get him to give Santa five. He thought about it...then decided against it!
Safe in mommy's arms...and more importantly, a safe distance from Santa.
The shirt says it all. He is pretty nice...but he sure can be naughty at times!
Happy camper now! Running around!
Dance moves? I'm not sure...but Kolin thought Dee was being pretty funny!
Darian and Kolin playing football with grandpa!
The kids in front of the tree. Cute pic.
Present time!! Dee's opening his awesome Craftsman work bench! He really loves playing with it at home.
The family. Love you grandma.
HANDY MANNY!! Yay!!
Christmas PJ's! He slept in those on Christmas Eve!
