Dee's First Birthday Party!!

Such a fun time!!  Darian had a blast and was so worn out after!  What a great turnout...and great 1st Birthday Party!

WE'RE BACK!!!

The Girton family has had a crazy busy summer, thus Dee's Daddy (me) has neglected my son's blog for several months! :(  Don't worry though...i promise i will catch everyone up over the coming weeks!  I'm going to take you back momentarily to June 12th...Darian's wonderful 1st Birthday party in which many of you were in attendence!  Know that besides working a ton...we've been having a great time spoiling our beautiful son all summer!!  Darian is growing so fast, and growing into such a sweet and loving little boy!  He's quickly advanced from stumbling around, and now he practically runs at times.  He loves to climb anything and everything, which strikes fear into his mommy's heart...but we've had no major injuries this far (knock on wood)!!  He's also a little chatterbox!   For a spell every animal be it a horse, cow, giraffe, or bear was a doggie!  Now they are all 'Hubble', which is what he calls both of our dogs!  His vocabulary is growing everyday, and he is very good at repeating things...though it doesn't always sound spot on, he really tries! :)  Dee has his fussy moments, but overall he is a super happy baby who loves to play and laugh and cause a bit of mischief!  He's really curious about everything, and just loves to get dirty! His favorite foods right now are bananas, cheese, sweet potatos, hot dogs, applesauce and yogurt.  He only drinks a bottle at night before bed, and drinks well out of his sippy cups during the day.  He loves being outdoors, and his new favorite thing is to go camping!! More about that later.  Having Darian in our lives these past 15 months have brought us more joy than we could have ever asked for!  Rikki and I are eternally in love with our son!

The Indianapolis ZOO!!!!

We decided to take Darian to the Zoo for the afternoon!  The weather was pretty good, though it was really hot and humid...but we stayed dry (except for the sweat)!  We bought a membership, and are really glad we did because it was a lot of fun!  We really enjoyed ourselves, and Dee seemed to really have a great time!  We were there for about 4 hours, and we still have a lot to see.  We didn't even make it to the botanical gardens!  Our favorite was probably the giraffes, because Darian got to feed them (sweet potatoes), and he knew exactly what to do, since he is used to feeding cheerios to his dogs! :)  We also really liked the new Cheetah exhibit and the dolphin show!!  Darian got pretty worn out, and fell asleep before we entered the 'Forest' part of the zoo!  After the zoo we headed to Castleton to do a little shopping at Toys R' Us.  Then we were off to have dinner at Bob Evans in Noblesville.  We ordered a kids meal for Darian, as he is mostly eating big boy food now!  We had such a great day with Darian!  Happy 1st Birthday son...we love you so much!

Opening his presents!

Almost as soon as we all woke up this morning, it was time to start celebrating Deedlebug's birthday!!  He had a great time opening his presents from mom and dad.  He received a ambulance truck, a couple new pairs of shoes, and a vacuum!  He loves to help mommy vacuum, so we thought he would like it, but he wasn't too thrilled...yet!  Oh...as a side note, Darian will probably be walking pretty soon!  He's walking all over the place with his little walker toy, and last weekend he took 4 steps!  He's done that a couple more times this week!  He thinks it's the greatest...giggles and laughs! 

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Boy!!!!

Our beautiful little son Darian turned one year old today!!  Where have the last 12 months gone?  Time sure does fly when you're having fun...and these last 12 months have been the best 12 months of our lives!  I have the best wife/mommy i could ask for, and the best son any father could ever have!  He's such a sweet and loving little boy, though a little wild, and with much attitude sometimes, but perfect in every way!!  We had such a wonderful day today!  Rik and I both took the day off to spend it with Dee and celebrate his birthday!  I'll recap in subsequent blogs!
